North Greenbush- Dianna G. Biittig McMahon, 74, of Bloomingrove Drive died on Monday April 7, 2014 at the Stratton VA Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Troy, Dianna was the daughter of the late Fredrick Biittig and Irene Green Chriss. Dianna was a 1957 graduate of the Averill Park High School and enlisted in the Navy in 1958. She was discharged in 1961 after serving as a Corpsman at the Naval Hospital in St. Albans, NY. She married William McMahon and moved to Long Beach, California where she resided for several years. Dianna returned to the area in 1973 and was a stay at home mom. She attended the Albany Business College at the same time and graduated in 1976. She later attended HVCC. From 1981-1985 Dianna worked for the Troy Savings Bank and then worked for the Rensselaer Co. Dept of Social Services where she was an Intake Examiner until her retirement. Dianna enjoyed shopping, visiting the casinos, reading and had sang in several area church choirs. Dianna was the sister of the late James W. Chriss, Adeline and Gertrude Biittig. Survivors include her daughters Kathleen McMahon and Samantha (Raymond) Stewart both of Troy, her sister Eileen “Bumsie” (William Rankin ) of Averill Park, 4 grandchildren and a great grandson.
