Averill Park- Elizabeth M. "Betty" Hoffman, 91, of Radley Road, town of Nassau, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Samaritan Hospital with her grandchildren at her side. Born in Stephentown, Betty was the daughter of the late Henry and May Ackner Brown, and wife of the late Raymond J. Hoffman. She was educated in Averill Park schools and had worked for more than 25 years at Ceramaseal Corp. in Lebanon. Betty had helped her husband on the family farm and could be found winding wreaths for the Prugel family during the holiday season. Betty enjoyed reading, shopping with her sister, Sunday rides, gardening, spending time with her family and enjoying her favorite television shows, "Wheel of Fortune" and "Dancing with the Stars." A special thank you goes out to Larry and Helen Radley, Lyle and Toby for the special care and attention given to Betty. Betty was the mother of the late Marie Adams, Linda Face Wiggins and Cindy Hoffman, and sister of the late Helen Udwary, Larry Brown, Ida Wager and Henry Brown Jr. Survivors include her grandchildren, Charles (Kathy) Face of Nassau, Richard (Wilma) Face of Lebanon, Christine Hilt of Averill Park, Brian (Donna) Adams of Hampton, Va., Daniel (Bunny) Face of East Nassau and Duane (Wendy) Adams of Albany. Sister of Harriet Metzler of East Nassau and Eileen (Bruce) Slater of Florida along with many great-grandchildren. Funeral, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 9 a.m. at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel, 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park.
