Alan T. Legg Sr.

Averill Park- Alan T. Legg Sr., 70, of Harriman Road Ext. died on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a long illness. Born in Albany, Alan was the son of the late Harold and Lillian Sweeney Legg and husband of the late Carol Bix Legg. Alan had resided in Rensselaer before moving to Averill Park in 1977. Alan had been a mechanic at the Sterling Winthrop Co. in Rensselaer and had retired in 1990. Alan was a veteran of the Army serving from 1965-1967,  was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Troy and enjoyed woodworking and time spent with his grandchildren. Survivors include his children Brooke (Robert) Ducharme of Petersburgh, Alan T. Legg Jr. of Averill Park and Brendon C. Legg of Richmond, VA, his sister Virginia Brunswick of East Nassau and his grandchildren Amanda Lynn, Christian James and Carolyn Monica Ducharme. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. If desired donations in memory of Alan T.
