Averill Park- Charles J. Ayotte, 81, of Bon Acre Way died suddenly on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Albany Memorial Hospital after being stricken at his residence. Born in Tupper Lake, NY Chuck was the son of the late Ross C. and Mabel Sackett Ayotte and the beloved husband for 53 years of Bernice “Bunny” Malik Ayotte.
Chuck had resided in the Averill Park area for 68 years and had attended the Averill Park Schools. He was a self-employed roofing & siding applicator for many years and had then worked for D.A.Bennet Construction before retiring. After his retirement Chuck had been a courier driver for area courier services. Chuck was a communicant of St. Henry’s Church and was a member of the Averill Park Fish & Game Club.
Chuck was the father of the late Richard C. Ayotte and Michael McQuade, brother of the late Roy and John Ayotte and grandfather of the late Kevin Davidson.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children Edward (Sandra) McQuade of Texas, Randy Ayotte of Averill Park and Yvonne (George) Phillips of West Sand Lake, his brother Stephen Ayotte of Troy and his sister Betty Thornton of Averill Park. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and a great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass Saturday 11 a.m. at St. Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park.
Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park on Friday 4-7 p.m. Interment St. Henry’s Cemetery.
