Poestenkill-Cheryl M. Catlin, 56, of Catlin Road, Averill Park, died on Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a short illness. Born in Albany, Cheryl was the daughter of the late Louis F. and Marguerite Quell Alderman and wife of Scott Catlin. Cheryl was a lifelong resident of the area and attended the Averill Park Schools. Cheryl had worked for the former Leisure Arms many years ago and more recently had been a sales associate for Stewarts in Wynantskill and Wal Mart in East Greenbush. Cheryl was most happy spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors in addition to her husband include her children, Lee (April) Catlin of Poestenkill, Shawn (Shannon) Catlin of West Sand Lake, Trina (Andrew) Williams of Poestenkill and Travis (Heather) Catlin of East Nassau; her brother, Lin Sheldon of Providence, R..I; her twin sister, Candice Shaut of Sioux Falls, S.D. and her 10 grandchildren.
