Poestenkill- Dorothy I. Arnold, 72, of Oak Hill Road, Averill Park, died on Tuesday November 5, 2013 at the Community Hospice at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Troy, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Ernest and Marie Arnold. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Poestenkill and had been a housekeeper for area families. Dorothy had also helped work on the family farm and was a lifelong member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Poestenkill. Dorothy enjoyed garage sales, baking, cooking and loved her animal friends. Dorothy was the sister of Eugene E. Arnold of Poestenkill and the late Allen G. Arnold. She is also survived by several cousins.
Funeral service Friday 10 a.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church 722 NY 351 Poestenkill. Interment Brookside Cemetery, Barbersville. If desired donations in memory of Dorothy I.
