Averill Park- Dylan F. Valentine, 12, of Morning Circle Rd. died on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at his residence. Born in Albany, Dylan was the beloved son of Daniel R. and Maryjo Scarlata Valentine Jr. Dylan had been a lifelong resident of Averill Park and attended elementary school at the Miller Hill School. He was currently a sixth grade student at Christian Brothers Academy where he played Trombone as a member of the CBA Concert Band. Dylan was a communicant of St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park.
Dylan was a member of Boy Scout Troop 528, played with Twin Town Little League and the Tri Valley Bow Hunters. Dylan enjoyed archery, animals, video games, traveling, especially to Disney World and Hawaii, cartoons, had recently discovered Falconry and collecting knives.
Dylan was the grandson of the late Francis P. Scarlata.
Survivors in addition to Mom and Dad include his big brother Daniel R. Valentine III of Averill Park his loyal canine and feline companions Lola, Maggie, Josie and Moe, his grandfather Daniel R. (Bernice) Valentine of Albany, his grandmother Louise Scarlata of Colonie along with several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at St. Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park on Saturday March 5, 2016, 9- 11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
