North Greenbush- Elizabeth J. Beck, 81, of Van Rensselaer Manor died suddenly on Tuesday July 21, 2015. Born in Southwick, MA. Betty was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Mabel Cook Weston.  Betty was raised and educated in Massachusetts and in 1968 along with her young family moved to the Averill Park area residing on Edgewood Drive for a number of years. Betty was a Nurses Aide at the Rosewood Gardens Nursing Home for over 20 years before her retirement. Betty had resided at the Troy Hills Apartments for a number of years prior to entering the Manor in 2009. Betty was an artist and enjoyed Bowling earlier in life, she also enjoyed animals and was a “people person” who enjoyed socializing with others.
Survivors include her brother John F. Weston, children Barbara Urgento, George (Becky) L. Beck Jr. and Julie (John) Gibson along with 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services were private for the family.
