East Greenbush- Lucille G. “Lee” Judd, 88, died Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Evergreen Commons Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Port Chester, NY, Lee was the youngest and last surviving child of Julius and Bertha Gilbert Gazel and the wife of the late Dr. James M. Judd. Lee lived most of her life in the Capital District area. She was a graduate of the Albany State Teachers College (SUNY Albany). Lee worked as a Medical Lab Technician for the New York State Department of Health in Albany, and Mt. Morris, where she married and raised five children. After 20 years in Mt. Morris, the family moved to Guilderland. She worked at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady for a number of years and retired in 2002. Lee enjoyed gardening and her flowers and was an active fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Survivors include her sons Christopher (Lisa) Judd of Grafton, Jeffrey (Carole) Judd of Beacon, NY, Timothy and James Judd Jr., both of Guilderland, her grandchildren Julius and Roland Judd and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Brunswick Church, 42 White Church La, Brunswick, NY, on Sat, March 19th, at 10:00, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00.
If desired the family requests donations in memory of Lucille G. Judd may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN. 38105 (www.stjude.org).
