Averill Park- Mary Jane P. Sacca, 82, of Huntley Road died on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side after a 17 year courageous battle with Lymphoma. Born in Albany, Mary Jane was the daughter of the late Theodore and Margaret Murray Wolfstich and the beloved wife of Louis J. Sacca. Mary Jane was raised in Albany, was a graduate of Vicentian Institute and had moved to Averill Park in 1972. Mary Jane worked for AT&T before being a stay-at-home mom for her daughters. Mary Jane went to work for the Averill Park School District where she was a secretary in the Algonquin Middle School. She retired after 25 years there.
In addition to being Lou’s wife for 56 years, Mary Jane was the mother of Peggy (Stanley) Sardinia of East Schodack and the late Sandra Hitchcock, sister of Theodore (Dorothy) Wolfstich of Loudonville, Nauny to Nicholas Zibro, Mia Hitchcock, Jalena Krikorian, Bella Sardinia, Kristin Armstrong, Sue Lepowski, Bob Sardinia and Lauren Sardinia and great grandmother to Stella, Lucas, Macie, Patrick and Delilah.
Mary Jane’s family would like to thank the amazing and caring staff at Samaritan Hospital and the angels of the Community Hospice.
A time to celebrate Mary Jane’s life will be held in the future.
