Averill Park- On Thursday February 22, 2018, Mary Margaret J. McGuire passed away after a long struggle with M.S. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Lucy Romanello Wyman and the loving wife of over 44 years to John T. McGuire.
Mary Margaret was the Director of Education for the New York State Theatre Institute.  She was a literacy volunteer, cub scout organizer, and Glass Lake Association V.P.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by her two sons John (Stephanie) McGuire and William (Sasha) McGuire, her brother Harry (Joyce) Wyman, as well as her grandson Marlow Louis McGuire. She was predeceased by her brother William Wyman.
She was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, teacher, advocate, singer, promoter, entrepreneur, and author. She was an organizer, alphabetizer, fund raiser, and mentor.
She loved laughter, her family, and any student she ever met. She was bold, fierce challenger to what she believed was unjust. She was loving, thoughtful, and celebratory of those she cared for- family and extended invited family.
And she was never at a loss for words.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
