​Troy- Michael Dennis “Mike” McLaughlin, 75, a longtime resident of Troy died on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his daughter’s home after a brief illness. Born in Troy, Mike was the son of the late Daniel F. and Anna M Zampier McLaughlin and the husband to Patricia Martin McLaughlin for 52 years before his passing. 
Mike was raised in Troy and attended Troy High school. He left school to join the Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged with a rank of Sergeant.  After serving his country, he returned home to begin his career for City of Troy Department of Public Works.  He retired after 30 years as an Auto Mechanic Supervisor.
Upon his retirement, he and Patricia moved to Orlando Fl. to leave the cold weather behind them. After enjoying a few years of rest, they decided it was time to go back to work. They chose a 2nd career and joined Walt Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom for 15 magical years in guest services.
Mike was a lifelong New York Yankee Fan and also enjoyed watching NASCAR.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Dee (Donald) Rowland, Matthew and Scott Mclaughlin, his brothers Patrick (Pearl), Kevin (Dawn) and Shawn (Amy), his grandchildren Suzanne (Mark) Fenzl, Stephaine (Christopher) Dobert, Patrick Sunkes, Natalie & Riely Mclaughlin and his great grandchildren Kaiden, Luke and Makenzie.
Mike was the brother of the late Daniel F. McLaughlin Jr.
Mike’s family wishes to thank Marsha from the Community Hospice for her compassion and care during Mike’s illness.
