Wynantskill- Albert A. Yerdon, 91, of Streamview Lane, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Samaritan Hospital after being stricken ill at home. Born in Berlin, NY, Albert was the son of the late Charles and Christine Kline Yerdon and the husband of the late Mae Snyder Yerdon. Albert had resided in Berlin, Stephentown and Troy before moving to Wynantskill in 1957. Albert had served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Albert had a 40-year career with the former Grand Union Company. He had worked in the warehouse and was a High Lift Operator Loading and unloading product in the warehouse. Albert enjoyed riding his bicycle around Wynantskill and he was a longtime member of the First Reformed Church in Wynantskill. Albert also enjoyed auto racing and was a regular at Lebanon Valley Speedway for many years and also enjoyed NASCAR racing. Survivors include his son Donald A. Yerdon of Wynantskill, his canine companion Sadie and several nieces and nephews. Albert was the brother of the late Norman Yerdon Sr., Arthur Yerdon, Florence Scott and Harry Yerdon. Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-6 pm on Friday, March 11 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park. A funeral service will follow at 6 pm.
