Averill Park- Anthony J. “Tony” Lomonoco, 71, of Forest Road died suddenly on Saturday, November 29, 2025 doing what he loved, deer hunting. Born and raised in Albany, Tony was the son of the late Michael F. and Theresa Zappala Lomonoco. He was educated in Albany and had received an Associate’s degree from HVCC. Tony moved to Averill Park in 1997 and had been retired from the Albany City School District where he was a head maintenance man. Tony lived for hunting, fishing and camping. He was thrilled to have a new fishing boat and had recently traveled to Alaska. Tony enjoyed being with his family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his companion Elizabeth Isabella of Averill Park his “daughters” Jamie Benesch Maxfield (George) of Brunswick and Jessica Benesch Face (Charles III) of Averill Park, his brothers Joseph Lomonoco of Southport, NC and Vincent Lomonoco (Jackie) of Schodack and his grandchildren Tanner Face and Hailey Bishop.

Services will be private.
