Schodack Landing- Arthur A. Horton, 75, of Knickerbocker Road and a longtime resident of Sand Lake, died suddenly on Monday January 4, 2021 at his residence. Born in Sand Lake, Arthur was the son of the late Myron and Marbrey Moses Horton and husband of the late Sally Ritrovato Horton. Arthur was a lifelong resident of Sand Lake and had resided in Schodack Landing since 2017. Art was a truck driver during his working career working for companies in the area such as Troy News, Watervliet Arsenal, Colonie Block, CR England and Polaro Trucking. Art enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family. Arthur was the father of the late Arthur Thomas Defoe and brother of the late Almeda Pulver, Lewis D. Horton and Wallace M. Horton Survivors include his children Arthur A. (Connie) Horton II of Poestenkill, Anthony L. (Brittany) Horton of Hoosick Falls, Kimberly M. Horton of Troy, James M. (Kathy) Horton of Troy, Curtis E. Horton of Sebastian, FL., Chad M. (Jennifer) Horton of Schodack Landing, Dawn Gillan of Rensselaer, and Terry (Tony) Flores of Nassau a sister Terry A. (Robert) King of East Nassau along with several grandchildren and many great grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Services are private.
