Troy- Arthur J. Densmore, 59, of Canal Ave. died on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his residence after a long illness. Born in Cohoes, Arthur was the son of Charlotte Kimmey (Gary) Winn of Averill Park and the late William J. Densmore. Arthur grew up in Averill Park and was a 1980 graduate of the Averill Park High School. He had resided in the Capital District area his entire life and had served in the Army National Guard. Arthur had worked at Borden’s and Matthew Bender before working at Saint Gobain abrasives in Watervliet where he had been a supervisor, he had played on their softball league. Art was a Steelers fan, enjoyed wood crafting and sculpting, enjoyed nature, fishing, hunting and camping.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his daughters Melissa Densmore Haberland of Averill Park, Chelsea (Justin) Adams of Watervliet, his son Michael Densmore of Albany, his grandchildren Ciana, Chrisgianie, Lillian and Marshall. Arthur was the brother of Joseph P. (Liane) Densmore of Averill Park and the late Steven W. Densmore and the uncle of Dylan, Dayna and Billy Densmore and longtime friend of Martha Riley-Thomas.
Services for the family will be private.
