Barbara J. Cole

Averill Park- Barbara J. “Bonnie” Cole, 79, of Glass Lake Road, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on Monday, May 25, 2026 after a long illness. Born in Troy, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Walter and Frances Murray Bradley. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of the area growing up at Burden Lake before residing for a number of years on Rte. 43 in Nassau and lastly on Glass Lake Road. Bonnie had a long career in public school transportation first as a bus driver then as Transportation Supervisor for the Brittonkill School District. After her retirement from Brittonkill she filled the position as Transportation Supervisor at the Wynantskill School District for a time. Bonnie was a longtime member of the Glass Lake Preservation Corporation where she was secretary for a number of years.

Bonnie was the wife of the late Mark A. Perry who passed away in 1991.

Survivors include her daughter Kelly (Stephen) Basolt of Averill Park, her granddaughter Ashley (Sean Hurley) Basolt of Averill Park and she was the beloved Gigi to Amelia and Griffin.

Bonnie’s family wish to thank her caregivers Cherie and Sandy for the care and friendship given to Bonnie and the Community Hospice for their help in recent weeks.

Services will be private.
