Wynantskill- C. Judith Parks, 85, of Acker Ave. died on Monday, March 7, 2022 at the St. Peters Hospice inn in Albany after a time of declining health with family at her side. Judy was born in Troy; the daughter of the late Frank H. “Bliz” and Bernice “Bernie” Blanchet Shoemaker Sr. Judy grew up in Sand Lake and was a graduate of the Averill Park High School class of 1953. Judy was a homemaker for a number of years raising her family. And had resided in Wynantskill for 37 years. She had a 25-year career at RPI as a Business Manager and retired in 2001. After her retirement she volunteered her time at the North Greenbush Library for a number of years. Judy enjoyed bowling, was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, garage sales and those trips to Atlantic City. She would enjoy walks around Wynantskill with her late brother Jerry.
Survivors include her children David (Michele) St. Pierre, Lynne (Mike) Weber, Randy (Sherie) St. Pierre, Jacqueline “Jake” Parks and Kelly (Jack) Clancy, her brothers and sisters Lorraine DeLair, Harold (Kim Sonhui) Shoemaker, Sharron “Chick” (Cliff) Shepard, Timothy (Maureen) Shoemaker and Ronald (Brenda) Shoemaker, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and their families.
Judy was the sister of the late Lawrence, Gerald and Frank Shoemaker Jr. and aunt of the late Brian Elting.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-6:30 on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park followed by a funeral service at 6:30.
Spring Interment will be in the Sand Lake Union Cemetery.
The family suggest donations in memory of C. Judy Parks may be made to the North Greenbush Library 141 Main Ave. Wynantskill, NY 12198 or the Community Hospice Foundation 310 So. Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208.
