Catherine D. Henderson

East Nassau- Catherine “Katie” D. Henderson, 48, of Dunham Hollow Road passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Albany, Catherine was the daughter of Russell Pratt and Jill Sterling Pratt of Averill Park and wife and best friend for over 29 years to Andre A. Henderson. Catherine grew up in Averill Park and attended the Averill Park Schools. She joined the Navy in 1993 and was honorably discharged in 1995. 

She loved spending time outdoors, and tending to her flower garden. She loved spending time with her dogs, cats, and birds. She enjoyed listening to music and cooking, (especially chili), and going to Grafton Beach.

Survivors in addition to her husband and parents include her sons William Henderson of Valatie and Gabriel Henderson of East Nassau, her niece Yasmine Montanez, her brother Adam Pratt of Olive Bridge, NY, her niece's Makenzie Pratt and Kaylani Pratt, her nephew's Kiernan Pratt and Makai Pratt and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

At Catherine’s request services are private.
