Poestenkill- Cathy D. Sagendorf passed on to the next life on Monday, October 17, 2022, after a 5-year battle with cancer. Cathy was a lifelong resident of Poestenkill and member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Poestenkill. She was a graduate of the Averill Park High School, earned a Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Oswego followed by a Master’s Degree from SUNY Albany. For 34 years Cathy worked as a supervisor at the NYS Library in Albany and retired in 2010.
Cathy loved her cats, traveling, especially to Europe and the Caribbean. After her retirement, Cathy spent half of each year at her “Happy” place, the family camp on Lake George.
Cathy is survived by her sister Linda, her cousin, Virginia Cole Catlin, along with Virginia’s children and grandchildren.
At Cathy’s request there will be no services.
Donations in her name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
