Troy- Dianne B. Walko, 83, of the Springs Nursing Centre and a former resident of Poestenkill died on Wednesday March 12, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Black Brook, NY, Dianne was the daughter of the late Dolphus and Della Rouchie LaGoy and wife of the late Peter Walko Sr.. Dianne had resided in area since 1949 and had lived in Cohoes prior to moving to Oak Hill Road in Poestenkill where she lived for a number of years. Dianne was a homemaker and was a certified group home counselor through the State Mental Hygiene Dept. She was a former member of the Poestenkill Senior Citizens. Dianne was the mother of the late Francine and John Walko. Survivors include her children Peter Walko Jr. of Saratoga, Alex Walko of Ghent, Marion Kozilsky of Lansingburgh, Cindy Corozzini of Clifton Park and Michael Walko of Schylerville, her sister Theresa Whalen of Green Island, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
