East Nassau- Dorothy A. Bailey, 79, of Uphams Corners Road, died on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the home of her sister after a short illness. Born in Sand Lake Dorothy was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Esther Smith Goodermote and the wife of the late Kendall J. Bailey. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of East Nassau and was a 1956 graduate of the East Nassau Rural High School. For a time, she worked for Geier & Bluhm Precision Instruments in Troy and the Carl Beck Floral Company in Averill Park. For most of her life she was a homemaker. Dorothy enjoyed Bowling and Bowled in Leagues in Wynantskill and East Greenbush.
Survivors include her son Douglas (Lisa) Bailey of Greenville, NC, her brothers William F. (Marlene) Goodermote Sr. of Clearwater, FL and Chuck R. (Peggy) Goodermote of East Nassau, her sister Judy (Ralph) Hartzell of East Nassau, her grandchildren Sierra, Jeremy, Shawn and Brittany and her feline companion Lucky along with several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may 1-3pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
In accordance with mandated guidelines masks, social distancing and occupancy limits will be observed.  
Funeral Service will be private.
