Dorothy M. Dodge

Poestenkill- Dorothy M. Dodge, 90, of Dodge City Plank Road Petersburgh, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at her home with family at her side after a short illness. Born in Troy, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Joseph Hall and the late Edna Kaiser Hall Church and was the devoted wife of the late Robert L. Dodge.

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of the area and a hardworking mother and homemaker. In the 1980’s she was a computer Operator for the US Marine Corp recruiting office in Albany. She was a longtime member of the Union Gospel Church in East Poestenkill where she held different positions over the years. She was instrumental in starting and running the food pantry. She was a former President of the Woodside Cemetery in East Poestenkill.

Dorothy was the mother of the late Wendy Bell and Matthew Dodge, sister of the late Joan Chamberlain, Thomas Hall, Edna Pettis and David Hall.

Survivors include her sons Martin Dodge, Daniel Dodge and Brian (Justin) Dodge and her daughter Bridgette Dodge along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call 11-1 pm on Friday June 19, 2026 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park followed by a service at 1 pm.

Burial will follow the service in the Woodside Cemetery.
