Averill Park- Edith M. Coonradt, 94, of Marcy Ave. passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness. Born and raised in Stephentown, Edith was the daughter of the late Irving and Lena Kellyhouse Geerholt and was the wife of the late Edward Dobert and Ralph E. Coonradt. Edith moved to Averill Park in the early 1960’s where she and Edward built the first house on Marcy Ave. and she has lived there ever since. Edith spent her life being a homemaker, mother and grandmother and enjoyed that job very much. She was a member of the Zion UCC in Taborton.
Edith was the mother of George Sherman of Akron, OH, Tammy George of Averill Park and the late Sheila Bedard, grandmother of Richard F. George III, Anthony George, Alina Coleman, Andrea Bedard and Avriana Davis, and was recently blessed with great grandchildren Thomas Anthony, Benjamin Michael George, and Aria Coleman. Edith was the sister of Alberta Phillips of Stephentown, and the late Alfred and Harold Geerholt, Rachel Schrump, Luella Chittenden and Helen Teal. Mother-in-law of Maurice Bedard of Averill Park.
Funeral Services will be private for the family with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Wynantskill.
