Averill Park-Edward A. Bielawa, 65, – On December 31, 2021 Ed left us to be reunited with his son Ryan, his parents and two brothers that predeceased him.
Ed was the son of the late Eugene and Irene Tartan Bielawa of Nassau and was one of seven siblings. five brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife MaryEllen O’Connell Bielawa, son Kevin (Nataleigh Moats and son Leighom), grandson Aedan, siblings: Anthony, Stanley, Michael, Barbara and many nieces and nephews.
Ed spent the majority of his life living in the Averill Park area. He lived in Massachusetts for a few years while attending school to become an electronic technician. He continued his education at Schenectady Community College after moving back to the area and obtained a position at General Electric.
As a young man Ed loved spending his time playing hockey, golfing and entertaining friends with his quick witted sense of humor. Ed had a passion for his classic BMW motorcycle and car, along with his Austin Healy sports car. He was a huge fan of classic rock and roll music, especially the Beatles. Despite the fact that Ed endured many difficulties in his life, God provided Ed with an amazing will to persevere.
Relatives and Friends are invited and may call 4-7pm on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Perry - Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:30 am on Friday January 7th at St. Henry’s Church, 39 Old Rte. 66, Averill Park.
As most recent mandate requires, masks are to be worn at the services.
