North Greenbush- Elaine O. Toohey, 87, of Van Rensselaer Manor a longtime resident of Poestenkill, died on Thursday, July 21, 2016 after a long illness. Elaine was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Elias and Matilda Etoll Mallouk. She was a graduate of the Averill Park High School and had been an Avon Representative for many years and had also been a clerk for the NYS Tax & Finance Dept. Elaine was a dog lover and had adopted and cared for many during her life.
Elaine was the sister of the late Elias Mallouk Jr.
Survivors include her son Fred (Lorrie) Toohey of Nassau. Services will be private.
Interment St.Mary’s Cemetery Troy, NY
