Rexford-On Thursday, April 20, 2017, Elizabeth M. LaFleur, daughter of the late Shirley A. Wilsey, and beloved wife of Arthur C LaFleur III, passed away at Georgetown University Hospital following a long illness. She fought valiantly and with tremendous strength and grace and she will be missed.
Born January 24, 1970 in Albany, NY, Elizabeth was a 1988 Graduate of Averill Park High School. She spent her time doing what she loved, which pretty much consisted of going to RPI Hockey games with her best friend and going to watch DIRT track racing all over NY State with her Mom. As an adult she began a long and successful career working for a number of banks and mortgage companies in the Capital District, culminating in her most recent position as a mortgage processor for M & T Bank.
Beth loved laughing with her many friends, her cats Bookey and Sebastian, NASCAR, The Yankees (although never accepted A-Rod!), Def Leppard, Hello Kitty (OMG did she like Hello Kitty!!), Lighthouses, and mostly spending time with her husband, whom she made a connection with the day she mentioned the “Alphabet People” and he knew what she was talking about. Elizabeth was truly loved by everyone that knew her, always had a smile on her face and was one of the warmest, kindest, most caring people to ever grace this earth.
She is survived by her loving husband Arthur, his daughter Marisa LaFleur-Janack and her husband Joseph, his son Kevin T LaFleur, close family friend Clark Boyer, and her cat Sebastian. Oh, and her favorite driver of all time, Richard Petty. Who’d have thought that would happen? Calling hours will be held for Elizabeth on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel, at 2691 NY 43, Averill Park, NY 12018. A private funeral will be held separately.
