Averill Park- Emma Mary Valenti (Esposito), 95, passed away peacefully at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s, with family by her side, on the morning of Sunday, September 19, 2021.
Born on June 22, 1926, in Troy, to Michael and Rose Esposito. She was married to her beloved husband Samuel on May 4, 1947. They were married 59 years before his passing. They settled In Troy, where Emma became a beautician and opened Emma-Rose Beauty Salon on Ferry St. This was located across the street from the Valenti Family's business "The Volcano Restaurant".
Emma and Sam left Troy with their 5 children to fulfill their dream by opening their own family restaurant, "Villa Valenti Restaurant" on West Sand Lake Road, for over six decades. This was their life's passion of sharing the great homemade cooking of Italian cuisine with the community.
When Emma wasn't in the kitchen cooking, you could find her at family picnics or Saratoga racetrack and casino, or any other track or casino. Emma loved her (triple 777 slots). She also enjoyed her yearly trips to Florida and the many pilgrimages to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre' In Quebec or New Lebanon Shrines, where she prayed for her family, friends and sick every single day.
Emma enjoyed her Scotch and Merlot, which she claimed was the secret of her longevity.
She spent her more recent years living with her daughters either In Florida or NY. La famiglia e tutto (family was everything). She was able to be loved and shared by all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Emma being the youngest and preceded by her very close-knit and loving family of 15 brothers and sisters. She is survived by Catherine Esposito (sister-In-law); her children Donna (James) Hausmann, Ralph (Jennifer) Valenti, Bernadette (Robert) Luhmann, Gary Valenti, daughter in-law Cheryl Valenti (Geno). She leaves behind 11 Grandchildren; Nicole (Domnick) Testo; Jason (Nicole-Nikki) Hausmann, Guiliana Valenti; Kimberly Lindeman (Tony), Jamie (Chris) Thornton, Daniel (Vanessa) Lindeman; Alex Valenti, Anastasia Valenti; Sarah (Michael) Stufflebeam, Nicholas (Emily) Valenti; 14 Great-Grandchildren, Cameron, Emily, Macie, Skylar, Owyn, Chris, Vance, Deacon, Divya, Bella, Adriana, James, Melanie and MJ, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended families. Emma was the mother of the late David Valenti and grandmother of the late Jarid Valenti
