Erna A. Schlueter

Poestenkill- Erna A. Schlueter, 88, of Deer Creek Road died on Wednesday, evening December 7, 2016 at the Albany Medical Center after having been stricken ill earlier in the day. Born in Danzig, Germany, Erna was the daughter of the late Kurt and Margarete Fahse and the beloved wife of 63 years to Gerhard Schlueter. Erna moved to the US in 1954 and resided in Sand Lake before moving to Watervliet in 1955 and then to Poestenkill in 1965 residing on Flint Drive for a number of years before moving to Deer Creek Road. Erna was a homemaker and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Poestenkill.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughter Gabriele (Frank) Nardozzi of Fairport, NY, her son Gerhard (Emer) Schlueter Jr. of Poestenkill, her grandchildren Mark (Deborah) Nardozzi, Kristen (Jason) Pilcher, Andrew, Lyndsey and Christopher Schlueter and her great grandchildren Maxwell and Natalia Nardozzi and Ayden Lashua.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 10 – 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church Rte 351 Poestenkill on Saturday, December 17 followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m.
An Inurnment Service will follow at the Hillside Cemetery Poestenkill.
