Averill Park- Frances Radley, 63, of Radley Road, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at her home with her family at her side. Born in Hudson, NY, Fran was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Frances DiCapua Alessi and the beloved wife of Leslie E Radley. Fran was raised in Chatham and was a 1976 graduate of the Chatham High School. She moved to the Averill Park area after her marriage in 1981. Fran worked for a time at Matthew Bender and then started a career with the Averill Park School District working jobs in the different schools. She had retired due to her illness in December from the West Sand Lake School where she had been a teacher’s aide for a number of years. Fran was happy to be at home with her family.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her devoted children James E. and Michelle M. Radley both of Averill Park, her siblings Louise Alessi of Valatie, Salvatore Alessi of Stockport, Dorothy Wilber of No. Carolina, Dolores DeBoer of Old Chatham, Joseph Alessi of Stottville and Anthony Alessi of Old Chatham and her canine pup Bella. Fran was met at the bridge by her late grand-pup Maddy.
Relatives and friends are invited a Memorial Mass 1pm Saturday, February 26, 2022at St. Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66, Averill Park, NY 12018 followed by a reception at the Averill Park Fire House, Eastern Union Turnpike, Averill Park.
