AVERILL PARK Garry B. Chamberlin, 57, of Alps Mountain Road, died peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2013 surrounded by those closest to his heart after a short illness. Born in Albany, Garry was the son of Theodore Chamberlin of East Greenbush and the late Elizabeth Karl Chamberlin. A lifelong resident of the area, he was raised in East Greenbush and was a graduate of Columbia High School. Garry had worked at Sterling Winthrop Labs where he was a clinical operator and more recently had worked for GE Silicones in Waterford. Garry enjoyed practice shooting, spending time at the family camp in Mayfield on the Great Sacandaga, visiting family and seeing the sights in California, four-wheeling and jet skiing. Garry was the brother of the late Donald Chamberlin. Survivors, in addition to his father, include his "girls," daughters, Christina Chamberlin of Sand Lake and Julie (Joseph) Mikalonis of Averill Park; his devoted companion, Linda Pulver Chamberlin and his sister-in-law, Donna Chamberlin of West Sand Lake. Garry was the loving Poppa of Kaitlin Mikalonis. Garry's family wishes to give a big thank you to Sandy from the Community Hospice for her care and compassion given to Garry. Funeral, Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 4 p.m. at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel, 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park.
