Albany- Gloria J. Tinklepaugh, 97, of the Teresian House passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, after a brief illness. Born in Troy, Gloria was the daughter of the late Edward and Carolyn “Bobby” Haynes Tinklepaugh. Gloria was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School in Troy and attended Mildred Elley School and Russell Sage College. She spent most of her life in Troy, moving to Cohoes in the 1980’s. Gloria had resided at the Teresian House since January 2017.
Gloria had spent time in service at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the Emma Willard School, and as a legal secretary and travel agent. She retired from the Rensselaer County Department of Social Services where she had served her community for nearly twenty years. She was active in Catholic church communities in Troy and Cohoes.
Gloria was the cousin of the late Margaret Johnson Emery (Austin).
Survivors include Margaret’s children, James Emery (Melissa), Mary Lacoursiere (Michael) and Carolyn Fleming (David) along with their children.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service 1pm on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Greenbush Cemetery Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, NY. A memorial gathering will be held at the home of Carolyn and David Fleming on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
