Cohoes- Helen A. Kielb, 84, of the Millview Assisted Living, a longtime resident of Burden Lake Road in Averill Park, was welcomed home to the Lord on Monday July 1, 2013 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy after being stricken at her residence. Born in Troy Helen was the daughter of the late Stephen and Helen Farrell Fox and wife of the late Edward J.”Tex” Kielb. Helen was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and Mildred Elley Business School.Helen had resided in the Averill Park area for over 50 years.  Helen retired in 1989 from the Watervliet Arsenal where she had been a secretary for over 30 years. Helen had been an Avon Lady for many years and was a long time communicant of St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park. She loved her family; Friday night dinners with her sister and daughter, but her greatest joy were her grandchildren. Survivors include her son Edward S. Kielb of Troy her daughter Helen (Martin) Pelcher of Averill Park, her sister Joan (the late Joseph) Millington of Troy, her brother Edward (Sandy) Fox of Las Vegas, NV and her grandchildren Tara, Farrell and Luke Pelcher. Funeral Saturday 11 a.m. at St Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.
Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park on Friday 4-7pm. Interment will follow in St. Henry’s Cemetery, Averill Park. If desired, the family suggests donations in memory of Helen A.
