Poestenkill- Helen T. Moquin, 92, a longtime resident of Davis Drive and most recently the Van Rensselaer Manor died on Saturday May 14, 2022 at the Manor after a brief illness. Born in West Rutland, VT., Helen was the daughter of the late Peter and MaryAnna Cecot Razanousky and the wife of the late Donald H. Moquin. Helen’s family moved to Watervliet when she was a teen ager. She worked as a Seamstress Assistant at the Marvin Nietzel Co. Helen became a homemaker after her marriage and moved to Poestenkill in the 1950’s. She had resided at Hawthorne Ridge since 2019 and most recently at the Manor. Helen enjoyed gardening and sewing and making the best raspberry tarts.
Helen was the sister of the late Stanley, Peter and Frank Razanousky, Genevieve Robatelli and Jennie Heffner.
Survivors include her daughters Linda Gre of Troy and Lori (Michael) Hawkins of Cleveland, GA, her sister Mary Ann Morosky of Melrose, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandson several nieces and nephews.
Helen’s family wish to thank the staff at Hawthorne Ridge Memory Care and the Van Rensselaer Manor for the care given to Helen while in their care.
Funeral Service will be private.
