North Greenbush- Irene E. Hull, 83, a longtime resident of Rte. 43, died on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness. Born in Collinsville, CT., Irene was the daughter of the late John and Viola Marhefky Dembishack and the beloved wife of the late Gordon A. Hull Sr. who died on December 25, 2015. Irene was raised in Connecticut and had moved to this area after her marriage in 1957. Irene had worked for the Averill Park School District from 1960- 1995 in food service at the West Sand Lake Elementary School and at the time of her retirement she had been the supervisor. Irene was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church and had also attended St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park. Irene was a longtime member of the West Sand Lake Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, knitting. Traveling, especially to Maine, camping and Bowling where she was a member of the Old Jokers Bowling League. In her lifetime Irene had many canine friends the she shared her life with.
Irene was the sister of the late John and Walter Dembishack and Mary Szydlowski. Survivors include her children Nancy (Terry) VanWormer of West Sand Lake, David (Beth) Hull of West Sand Lake and Gordon Hull Jr. of Schodack, her brother Richard Dembishack of Prospect, CT, and her sisters Shirley Krawczyk and Frances Urso of New Britain, CT. her grandchildren Brandi (Larry) Piparo, Cole VanWormer and Jennifer (Jason) Ring and her great grandchildren Hailey and Amber Piparo along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Wednesday 9:30 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church Brookside Ave. Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.
Interment will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Perry Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park on Tuesday 4-7 p.m.
