Janet R. Reeves

Averill Park- Janet R. Reeves, 70, of Wisner Road, passed away on January 29, 2026 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 27, 1955, Janet was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Frances Ramondetta.

Janet was a longtime resident of Babylon, NY. She worked as a librarian assistant at the Friends Academy in Locust Valley, NY, and later worked at Touro College as an administrative assistant. She was the President of SEPTA in Babylon, NY, was involved with the Great South Bay District of the Boy Scouts of America, and was the Assistant Scout Master of Troop 139. Janet was a proclaimed “Parrot Head” and loved the music of Jimmy Buffet. In 2020 Janet and her husband Chuck moved to Averill Park to spend more time with their grandchildren, but she still loved to spend summers vacationing on Oak Island with her family.

Janet is survived by her husband Chuck H. Reeves III; sons Chuckie Reeves (Erin) of Medford NY, Daniel Reeves (Katelyn) of Averill Park NY; brothers Peter Ramondetta (Janet) of Lake Mary FL, Anthony Ramondetta (Lucy) of Deltona FL; and grandchildren Finn Reeves, Norah Reeves, and Conor Reeves.

Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 4-6:45pm at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel, 2691 NY-43, Averill Park, NY 12018. A service will follow the calling hours at 7pm.
