North Greenbush- Jean M. Blatt, 73, of Van Rensselaer Manor formerly of Town Garage Road, Hoags Corners died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Paterson N.J., Jean was the daughter of the late Vincent and Virvin Brustman Gunderman. Jean had resided in the Hoags Corners and Nassau area most of her life and was a graduate of the Averill Park High School. Jean's early working career was at the NYS Tax & Finance Dept. where she was a senior accountant. Jean left that job to raise her family. After raising her family Jean had been a cook for various fraternity houses in Troy and other organizations in the area. Jean was a member of the Church of the Covenant United Methodist in Averill Park and enjoyed spending her time camping. Jean was the longtime companion of the late Edward P. Law. Survivors include her sons, Robert J. (Kelli A.) Blatt of North Greenbush and Michael V. (Amy) Blatt of New Lebanon; her sisters, Elaine (George) Rifenburg of Brunswick and Linda Gunderman of Greeley, Colo.; her brothers, Richard Gunderman of Clifton Park and Kenneth Gunderman of West Sand Lake; her grandchildren, Michael Jr., Emma and Leah; her stepmother, Connie Gunderman of Averill Park and her former husband Robert Blatt Sr. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Perry Komdat Funeral Chapel, 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park on Thursday 4-7 p.m. followed by a service at 7 p.m. Spring Interment in the Mackmin Cemetery Hoags Corners.
