Averill Park- Jeffrey A. Powers, 53, of Burden Lake Road went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, April 30, 2021 after a long illness. Jeff was born in Troy on March 2, 1968, grew up in Poestenkill, NY and was a graduate of the Averill Park High School. Although life presented him with many challenges, Jeff especially excelled with computers, and ran a small used computer sales and technical support business. He was a true patriot who loved America and believed in the American Dream.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother Joyce A. Blauvelt, his step father Gary S. Blauvelt of Poestenkill, his six brothers John J. (Lynda) Powers, III of Springs Woods, FL; Jerome K. Powers of Waterford, NY; James K. (Diane) Powers of Spencerport, NY; Thomas M. (Donald) Powers of Leland, NC; Timothy M. (Tracy) Powers of Cairo, NY; and Jason M. (Tammy) Powers of Averill Park, NY. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was the son of the late John J. Powers Jr. formerly of Troy.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 11am- 1pm on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
As mandated masks, social distancing and occupancy levels must be followed.
A private family service will follow at the Brookside Cemetery in Brunswick.
The family asks that donations be made to the Community Hospice c/o the Community Hospice Foundation 310 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation 2361 Hyland Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 in memory of Jeff.
