Sand Lake- Jessica L. Prusky (41) of Wood Road, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Bennington Vermont, Jessica was the daughter of Melany Weeden (John) Letourneau of Bennington Vermont and the late Lee Palmateer (Lynn) of Troy. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth J. Prusky of Sand Lake and a devoted mother to Jackson Palmateer, Lawrence Sharp, Lydia and Keira Prusky.Jessica was raised in Bennington Vermont, spending some years in Texas before moving to Troy for her high school years. She moved to Sand Lake in 2016 when she married.
Jessica was a clerk at Cumberland Farms in Sand Lake. Her most important role was at home as a devoted and caring mother to her four children. Jessica had taught and practiced aromatherapy and enjoyed crystals. She was an avid reader, visiting the local library often. She loved to share her interest of fantasy books with her children. She was a great cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen with her family. In warmer weather, you could find Jessica gardening in her yard.Jessica was an organ donor and will help up to 70 people with her donation.
Survivors include her mother, husband, and children; Jackson, Lawrence, Lydia, and Keira. In addition, she leaves her brothers. Jared (Stefanie) Johnson of Ohio, Kevin Palmateer of Troy and her sister Shalyn (Zachary) Palmateer of Cambridge, Ma.Jessica truly enjoyed her time with extended family and a great group of very supportive friends. She spent a great deal of time with and was greatly influenced by her maternal and paternal grandmothers, Lydia Stevens and Mary Merrills.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-7 pm on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
