John W. Hoffay

Hudson Falls- John W. Hoffay passed away on January 23, 2026 at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness.

John was born on August 3, 1955 in Troy, NY. He was the son of the late Frank H. Hoffay and Charlene Rae Squires.

John grew up in Sand Lake NY, and attended Averill Park Highschool. He has resided in the Hudson Falls area for the last 15 years.

Besides his parents, John is predeceased by his brother Frank H.Hoffay Jr.

He is survived by his son Cody Hoffay; brother William Hoffay; sisters Kathy Jordan, Bambi McBain, and Tammie Loveridge (David); his cousin and close friend Rob Winney; his faithful companion and dog Sassy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life for John on Feb. 8, 2026 from 12-3pm at Lakeview On Crystal Lake, 4 Old Rte 66, Averill Park, NY 12018.

Memorial donations may be made in Johns name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
