West Sand Lake- John D. Shoemaker, 63, of Best Road, died suddenly on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at his residence. Born in Albany John was the son of the late John J. Shoemaker Sr. and Dorothy V. Tillman Lifite. John had a 32-year career with Albany Medical Center where he had been a food service courier. He had retired in 2009 due to illness. He was an avid NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan.
John was the brother of Katherine (David) Yates, William J. Shoemaker Sr., Patricia Waterbury, Nancy (Alan) Keating and the late Sandra Judd. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of John’s life will be held in the future.
