Averill Park- Joseph K. “Jay” Windover, 18, son of John K. Windover and Virginia Bourdeau died suddenly on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after being stricken at his residence. Born in Seoul Korea, Jay came to his family as an infant and had resided on Weatherwax Road in Poestenkill for most of his life. He had recently moved to Schenectady where he was enrolled at SUNY Schenectady Community College. Jay was educated in the Averill Park Schools, was a scout in Troop 528 and had participated in Taekwondo. He was a member of the Church of the Covenant United Methodist in Averill Park. Survivors in addition to his mom & dad include his brother Troy Windover, his grandmother Grace Bourdeau all of Averill Park and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jay was the grandson of the late Joseph Bourdeau, Kenneth and Theresa Windover. Relatives and friends are invited and may call 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 27 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park, NY. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, January 28 at the Church of the Covenant 3055 NY 43 Averill Park.
