June F. Heffner

Poestenkill- June F. Heffner, 76, of Plank Road died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at her residence after a long illness. Born in Brunswick, June was the daughter of the late Homer L. and Cora H. Brod Bott and wife of the late Sidney Heffner. June grew up on the family farm on Garfield Road in Brunswick and was a lifelong resident of the area. June had been a beautician many years ago and had run her own shop in Troy. She had also been a home health care aide before being a full time homemaker. June was the mother of the late Cathy Heffner and sister of the late Helen Heffner and Norma Knauer. Survivors include her children, Beth (Melvin Jr.) Swartz of Poestenkill, Megan (Richard) Schweitzer of Dalton, Mass., Thore Heffner of Middlegrove, Aaron (Jacquelyn) Heffner of Poestenkill, Jason Heffner of Proper, Texas, Wade (Jacquelyn) Heffner of No. Greenbush, Amy (Mark) Zwinge of Hoosick Falls: Thaddeus Heffner of Franklin, Tenn. and Johanna Heffner of Poestenkill. June was also survived by 15 grandchildren. Funeral services were private. Interment Brookside Cemetery, Barbersville.
