Karolin Marie Bassey

Brunswick- Karolin Marie Bassey, 82, of Rte. 7, crossed over at home with family at her side on June 25, 2026. Born in the Bronx on September 15, 1943, Kay was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Berwick Urf. She had resided in the area for many years and had worked for SUNY Research Foundation. Kay loved flower gardening in her many gardens around her home, reading by the window and watching the birds.

Kay was the mother of the late Richard Scott Asbury.

Survivors include her son Alexander Bassey (Alicia) 0f Grafton, her sisters Evelyn Murch of Maine and Christine Alfonso of Tampa, FL and her 3 grandchildren.

Services will be private.
