No. Greenbush- Kathleen M. “Kay” Bossidy, 89, of Van Rensselaer Manor, longtime resident of Flint Drive in Poestenkill, died on Friday, June 8, 2018 after a long illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Kay was the daughter of the late Victor C. and Frances Dorothy Nelson Momrow and the wife of the late Frank R. Bossidy. Kay moved to the Sand Lake - Taborton area as a young girl before moving to Poestenkill in 1941 where she was raised by Downey and Marguerite Fisher. Kay was a 1946 graduate of Troy High. Prior to raising her children Kay had worked at the former 7 Up company in Poestenkill. Kay was a life member of the Poestenkill Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the Sullivan-Jones VFW Post Auxiliary. She had enjoyed bowling with the Highway Tuesday Niters League for many years. Kay was a longtime communicant of St. Henrys Church in Averill Park.
Kay was the beloved mother of Barbara (Kenneth) Longacker of East Greenbush and Nancy (Doug) Rogers of Eagle Mills, grandmother of Jennifer (Bret) Valerio of Sudbury, MA, Kelly (Chris) Bins of Schodack and Michael (Samantha Hird) Rogers of Cambridge, MA, her great grandchildren Annabelle Valerio, Evelyn Valerio and Colton Bins. Kay was the sister of the late Victor Momrow.
Funeral 10 a.m. Thursday, June 14 at St. Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park where a Mass of Christian. Burial will be offered with burial to follow at Brookside Cemetery, Barbersville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may also call 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park
