Kathleen A. Verenini

East Nassau - Kathleen A. Verenini, 70, entered into eternal rest on January 11, 2023.  She was most recently employed at the Sand Lake Center for the Arts.  Other past employments included The Church of the Covenant United Methodist, Hallmark Cards, and Joy Department Store.  She took great joy in being like a second mother to the many children she cared for in her home over the years.  She was a member of the Church of the Covenant.  She was an active and talented crafter and painter, participating in many local craft events. She had a passion for country décor, that was enjoyed by all who entered her home.

Kathy is survived by her loving partner of 13 years, Val Gray, of East Nassau; her mother, Lorannia Burridge of Burden Lake, her father was the late William Burridge.  She was a loving mother to her children, late daughter Kelly Verenini and survived by son, Louis Verenini (Cassandra Kelting) of Lakewood, Colorado; son, Jeremy Verenini (Victoria Ledwich) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; son Matthew Verenini and wife Kelly of Arlington, MA; daughter, Hailey Verenini (Kyle Gutbrodt) of Wynantskill; granddaughters Jayda, Lilly and Jayella Verenini of Myrtle Beach and grandchildren Toren, Eli and Zoey Verenini of Arlington, MA.  She is also survived by sister Deborah Brophy of Rensselaer; brother Bruce Burridge (Veronica Bowie) of Spring Hill, Florida; sister Darlene Killeen (Kip DiNovo) of Pittstown, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Kathy’s memory be sent to the Sand Lake Center for the Arts, PO Box 179 Averill Park, NY 12018.

Relatives, friends and loved ones are invited to call 12 noon- 3 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43, at Glass Lake, Averill Park, followed by a Memorial Service at 3 pm.
