Keith G. Hull Sr.

Poestenkill-Keith G. Hull Sr., 72, of Plank Road, Averill Park, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Samaritan Hospital after a long illness. Born in Troy, Keith was the son of the late Orville D. “Skip” Hull and Janie Bulloch Leonard. Keith was a lifelong resident of Poestenkill and was a 1971 graduate of the Averill Park High School. On September 11, 1971 Keith married his beloved wife Betty Brust Hull. Keith’s working career took him to Troy Belt, the Poestenkill Highway Department and the Rensselaer County Highway Department where he retired from in 2015. In his retirement Keith enjoyed mowing lawn, landscaping and being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Keith was a life member of the Poestenkill Fire Company where he was a Past President and Past Assistant Chief in East Poestenkill. He was a member of the Sullivan VFW Post on Poestenkill and helped his late brother with maintenance at the Masonic Temple in Troy.

Keith was the brother of the late Edward W. Hull Sr. and Douglas R. Hull.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children Dawn Hull (John) of Troy, Keith G. Hull Jr. (Jennifer) of No. Carolina and Tammi L. Pulenskey (Bryan) of Cropseyville, his grandchildren Jeremy David, Kyle, Taylor, Victoria and Anthony along with 5 great grandchildren. Keith will be missed by his canine companion Cooper.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-6:30 on Wednesday September 17, 2025 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park followed by a service at 6:30.
