Averill Park- Leon R. Holt 90, of Arlene Ct. died on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. Born and raised in Stephentown, Leon was the son of the late William H. and Edith M. Houghtling Holt and husband of the late Esther M. Teal Holt. Leon had resided in Averill Park since 1948 and had retired from the Agway Corp. where he had been a loader. Leon had worked there from 1955-1985 and had worked at the Port of Albany and Guilderland. He had previously worked for the former Ramsey Chain Co. in Menands. In his younger years Leon enjoyed hunting. He was a Life Member of the Lebanon Valley Protective Association and a member of the former Alps Baptist Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge # 641 in Averill Park. Leon was the brother of the late Harry B. Holt, Alan F. Holt and Enid Cornell. Survivors include his son Robert W. (Kathy) Holt of Averill Park, his sisters Ellen King of Wassaic, NY and Theo Genito of West Sand Lake, his grandson Gregory (Jenn) Holt of Latham and his great grandson Anthony Holt.
