Poestenkill- Marie E. Hoffman, 91, a longtime resident of Snyder’s Corners Road died on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at The Grand at Guilderland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Born and raised in Poestenkill, Marie was the daughter of the late Vernon C. and Helen Toussaint Hoffman Sr.
Marie had retired from the Averill Park School District where she had taught Business Machines and Mathematics. She was a former Poestenkill Town Judge., member and past President of the Poestenkill Historical Society and had been a Research Assistant at the New York State Library. Marie enjoyed reading, music, art and genealogy.
Survivors include her son Stephen Hoffman and her brother Vernon C. Hoffman Jr.
A Thank You goes to the staff at the Grand for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Marie.
Services were private with burial in the Brookside Cemetery, Barbersviile.
