Marie D. Lashway

Poestenkill- Marie D. “Starr” Lashway, 72, of Lynn Road, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a period of declining health. Born in Champlain, NY, Starr was the daughter of the late Harold A. and Margaret Young Lashway. The family moved to Troy but Starr spent most of her life in Poestenkill. She had worked at the former Visilox Systems in Poestenkill now Dynamic Systems. Starr enjoyed Bingo, shopping, Christmas, her family especially the grand and great grandchildren.

Starr was the mother of the late Mark Arnold and sister of the late Harold Lashway.

Survivors include her children Clara M. (Peter) Pregant, Deborah (Carl) Miller, and Brenda Arnold, brother and sisters Nancy Fearnley, Rita Hart, Donald Lashway and Doris (Polo) Rangel.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call 10-12 noon on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park followed by a Celebration of Life at the Mt. View Fire House 2 Shafter Ave. Troy, NY 12180.
